Professionalism and fitness
Italian mtb collection was born thanks to the friendship Enrico and Roberto both lovers of vintage Italian mtb.
The purpose of the Italian mtb collection is to make known to as many people as possible the mountain bikes that were assembled in Italy from the year 1982 until the early 1990s, most of them were marketed, while others remained as prototypes and never seen on the market.
This adventure is undertaken solely out of passion and enthusiasm, trying to keep the inflation to the minimum necessary to finance the aim of creating and maintaining a virtual museum of vintage Italian Mountain Bikes that can be visited by all and without any operational or fiscal foreclosure.
On this site there is a private collection of fully functional vintage mountain bikes, and more, presented to appreciate their functional shape and aesthetic beauty, all handmade, some by small local artisans and in limited numbers others by large companies entrepreneurs who over the years have earned internationally recognized esteem and fame.
But we would like to clarify that before becoming such they too were small artisans who with dedication and skill, starting from a simple sheet of paper, cut, forged and welded steel to bring out the best possible product.
In most of the mtb we have kept the original paint but unfortunately where it was not possible we were forced to repaint some frames, keeping the same shades of the original paints, retrieving information from catalogs, trade magazines and where it was possible by asking the same producer.
Finally, for the painting we used a professional in the sector in the person of Dossena Carlo, owner of the Docar company in Settimo Milanese who, given his great experience and having worked over the years with the largest Italian bicycle manufacturers, sometimes knew perfectly original color.
In conclusion we hope that all this is to your liking and perhaps in some cases of help if you are about to restore a mtb, if you then want to sell your mtb we are always available to evaluate the purchase as long as the mtb is of a certain level or historical value.
A dutiful thanks goes to Roberto, great collector and profound connoisseur of the world of vintage mtb, thanks to him I had the opportunity to increase my knowledge of the world of vintage mtb.
